FROM BART 

  • Get off at the 12th Street Oakland City Center stop and take the 11th Street exit
  • Walk down 11th Street 1 block to Clay Street, and turn right
  • Entrance is on Clay between 11th and 12th Street (between Specialty’s Cafe and Penelope’s bar near 11th)
  • We have an inside bike rack.

Tech Liminal is located in the 555 Oakland City Center building. Enter on Clay between 11th and 12th Street (next to Penelope’s bar near 11th). Our mailing address is 555 12th Street, suite 110, Oakland, California 94607.

Driving

FROM SAN FRANCISCO

  1. Take I-80 East across Bay Bridge. (continues onto Dwight D. Eisenhower Hwy)
  2. Take the exit onto Interstate 580 East toward CA-24/Hayward-Stockton. Continue onto I-580-E
  3. Take the exit toward Downtown Oakland/I-980 W
  4. Keep left, follow signs for Downtown Oakland. Continue onto I-980 W.
  5. Take the 12th Street exit.
  6. Merge onto Brush Street
  7. Turn left at 11th Street
  8. Up 11th Street to Clay Street. If you reach Broadway you’ve gone too far
  9. Tech Liminal is located on the left side of Clay Street between 11th and 12th

FROM MARIN

  1. I-580 E/Richmond San Rafael Bridge puts you on I-80 West.
  2. Continue on I-80
  3. Take the exit onto Interstate 580 East toward CA-24/Hayward-Stockton. Continue onto I-580-E
  4. Take the exit toward Downtown Oakland/I-980 W
  5. Keep left, follow signs for Downtown Oakland. Continue onto I-980 W.
  6. Take the 12th Street exit.
  7. Merge onto Brush Street
  8. Turn left at 11th Street
  9. Up 11th Street to Clay Street. If you reach Broadway you’ve gone too far

FROM BERKELEY, RICHMOND OR SACRAMENTO

  1. follow I-80 West towards Oakland.
  2. Continue on I-80
  3. Take the exit onto Interstate 580 East toward CA-24/Hayward-Stockton. Continue onto I-580-E
  4. Take the exit toward Downtown Oakland/I-980 W
  5. Keep left, follow signs for Downtown Oakland. Continue onto I-980 W.
  6. Take the 12th Street exit.
  7. Merge onto Brush Street
  8. Turn left at 11th Street
  9. Up 11th Street to Clay Street. If you reach Broadway you’ve gone too far

FROM CONCORD OR WALNUT CREEK

  1. Take I-680 South to Hwy 24 West ramp towards Oakland/Lafayette
  2. Merge onto Hwy 24 West
  3. After going through the Caldecott Tunnel, Hwy 24 becomes I-980 West
  4. From I-980 W. take the 18th Street exit towards 14th Street
  5. Merge onto Brush Street
  6. Turn left at 11th Street
  7. Up 11th Street to Clay Street. If you reach Broadway you’ve gone too far!
  8. Tech Liminal is located on the left side of Clay Street, between 11th and 12th

FROM THE SOUTH BAY (SAN JOSE, FREMONT, CASTRO VALLEY)

  1. Take I-880 North towards Oakland
  2. Take the Oak Street exit toward Lakeside Drive
  3. Turn left at 12th Street
  4. Turn left on ClayStreet, Tech Liminal will be on the right

Parking On street:

  • There is street parking in front on Clay and meters on side streets. Maximum 2 hour pay parking at $2.00/hour.  (Read signs carefully – some are only 1 hour – enforced until 6:00 PM and Saturdays)
  • Pay for street parking: Use mobile app Parkmobile to pay by phone (with surcharge and reminders). The parking police are very active in this area.

Free parking:

You might find it several blocks away on Castro or 7th street – be prepared to circle around.
